Trimukhi Platform
in association with Alliance Francaise du Bengale Oxford Bookstore, launches in Kolkata the second issue of its yearly French-Indian publication on contemporary arts. In it: texts and visual works by 23 artists and scholars from India, France, Pakistan, Brazil, UK, Italy, Belgium, Mexico, Colombia, US, Tchad, Rumania and Canada. The purpose is concrete and simple, same as for the first issue: stimulating the thought, awakening desire for the arts.

 


– the evening will commence at 6.30 pm, Friday December 1. 2017 at Oxford Bookstore Kolkata where Damien Syed, Consul General of France in Kolkata, will release the journal 

– it will conclude at Alliance Francaise du Bengale (Park Mansions) with Jean-Frédéric Chevallier’s video art projection – Try Me Under Water 
   at a reception supported by the Consulate General of France in Kolkata

in partnership with Alliance Française du BengaleThe Japan Foundation New Delhi, l’Université du Québec à MontréalHexagram and MACE, present the 10th edition of an amazing night-long festival of contemporary performing arts and inventive thought to take place on Saturday January 27. 2018 at Trimukhi Cultural Centre in the Santhal tribal village of Borotalpada, West Bengal, India. Artists and philosophers from Kolkata, Paris, New Delhi, Tokyo, Montréal, Borotalpada village, Mexico city and Port-au-Prince will both showcase in situ performances and evolve in stimulative discussions about "intensity flows"... before inviting all to join for a joyful multicultural dance party until the sun rise again... 

– booking is open from Nov 17 to Dec 13 2017 online and at Alliance Française du Bengale (cheque only) and MACE 

– the journey starts on Jan 27 2018 at 1 pm from Howrah station, Kolkata, 
coming back in Kolkata next day at 11 am 

– contribution fee of INR 2,400 (20% discount for students and senior citizens)
 includes train tickets, private bus, tea/snack, entrance to the festival, dinner, overnight stay in the village and breakfast
